Default Crawling Valley North Entrance

Hi everyone,

Is the north entrance safe for non trucks to drive on? I went with a buddy last year and remember his truck going over a hump to get on the lake. I've taken the south campground entrance and just drove to the northern part before but I dont think thats a great idea this year haha

Default North end

We did an overnighter on the North End 2 weeks ago. There was a small pressure ridge close to the northeast shore. There was also very thin ice along the shoreline. Thin enough that we broke through walking on but was only a few inches of water. My guess it was thin due to the shoreline melting and running into the lake. It's been cold enough for the last 2 weeks I don't see that being an issue. There were a few trucks parked on the ice a few hundred yards from us, so they accessed it somehow. We just walked on. Fishing was incredible on the Saturday and dead on the Sunday. Weird how one day can make such a huge difference. Fish were all big and healthy.
