Default Any traditional archery success this year

Sadly I'm still trying. We got some mule deer with rifles out east with my daughter this weekend, but I haven't connected with my long bow at home here yet. I want to switch up and try the flintlock this weekend. Hope somebody had some trad success this year?

I just read an article in Primitive Archer magazine about what is bow hunting. They lump all compound bows into the same category as crossbows and feel they aren't true archery. The article even went so far as suggesting that that animals killed with compounds shouldn't be in the same record book. If we had that discussion here it would sure stir things up.
