As long as you have the $200,000 US trophy fee fill your boots

These are farmed animals, they represent a stag as much as a grizzly resembles a gopher.

That's what I was just thinking...

What the trophy fee for a (World Record) 765" Red Stag would be, if guys are charging ~ $8500 for a "gold medal, 357-380 SCI red stag" ?

Those big stags are amazing animals but are really farmed stock that are breed to cater for high fee paying customers. Nothing wrong with shooting a monster stag and it would make a hell of a trophy!

But New Zealand as a lot of smaller free range wild stags that can be hunted for free on public land (30% of the country) - no tags, no seasons but a lot of sweat required.

Hats off to the old guy for getting out and hunting. Canned hunt or not he payed to play and is happy. In the end thats what it is. He can stare at that rack every day for whatever days he has left and be happy. Some people pay millions for a painting to hang on the wall, I would side with this old guy.

Very cool rack! Thanks for sharing vid.

Not all properties are created equal. When i went the property was marketed as free rang. 35000 acres and fenced on only 3 sides
