Outstanding. Thread of the year for sure.

Take note fellas, he's a rookie poster here and can post pics properly. Can you even imagine trying to read the whole story and having to open files constantly to view the awesome scenery pics that add so much to this tale?

Keep at it. I'll read any of your posts.

Here's a picture to give you a better idea of where my goat was. He is actually in this picture. You just can't see him.

Here's my goat still alive

So since Tranquilizer's goat was robbed by a greasy grizzly turd... he has nothing to hang on his wall.

But his b-day was on December 10th and fishmas was just around the corner, I got these done up for him.

Better idea of the pic above

The lady at wally world stayed an hour after she clocked out to help me. She said she didn't like hunting... but sure liked my pictures.

Thanks for the pics an story. My last goat hunt I seen the mountain 11hrs in 10 days. Pulled a 50"er on the last afternoon. Beautiful when you can see hell when you can't
Best way I've had described to me on lookin for a shooter. Was that a big male goat looks like a white buffalo

I think not knowing exactly how big he was helped me. Goat fever did creep it.

Dang...... how can anyone post their hunting stories after that! Fantastic. I'm guessing you keep a journal of your hunts? Thats pretty cool. Helps remember every moment. Certainly keeping an eye out for your posts!

Not really a journal. I guess the thread was kind of a journal. I try to take lots of pictures. Except you don't really get many pictures while bush whacking through ****.

This was a run on thread over on huntingbc. I would check in on the goats at least once a week and take what pictures I could. Then I uploaded them to the thread and made notes on:
-where the animals were in location and elevation
-if they were moving and to and from
-the amount of animals
-the weather
-general time of day

I was out for a 9 inch billy, but since it was my last weekend out I was about to settle on any billy. I was talking to a buddy of mine and I remember saying "I sure am lucky". I was about to say "I sure am lucky to have got a goat that size". But my buddy cut me off and said "no puts that much work into something and gets that lucky".

Now I don't know if that's true in my case... but now it's something I like to tell people starting out at anything.

What kind of camera you using? Couldn't imagine itd be very big. Thatd be tough to carry without smashing. But those are nice pics for a small camera. I'm looking for a tag-along camera to take huntin/hikin.

The local Staples had a sony quickshot or something goofy, that they were clearing out for $80. Bought it ofc the clearance table. I used that one while I was out with quesnel kid and going solo. Used it very little when I took tranquilizer for his goat.

For tranquilizer's goat we used an Iphone with ottet case.

Some pictures were even off of a blackberry torch.

Bought the cheap $80 camera strictly for packing out hunting. If I broke it(which I ended up getting it wet) it wouldn't be a big deal.

Tranquilizer tried convincing me to bring the 7D up... but that wasn't happening.
