Default Good marine shop in Edmonton?

I just need to pick up a couple small items (spark plugs, Mercury Powertune spray stuff) for my ol 9.9hp Merc and maybe ask a little advice depending on who I end up talking to.

Gonna be in both the South and West ends of the city this morning, and St. Albert a little later.

Where should i go?

I completely do not recomend the crooks at Marine Madness. I will not go into why, needless to say they will never receive business from anyone of my friends or family again.

Thumbs up

Guys, I've tried Barry J's -- and won't ever go back.

If you're in the west end, try Recreational Power Sports (14980 114 Ave NW). Kinda in an unusual location, but... I've bought a prop, equipment to change my trailer to a bunk style, and other boat stuff there, and very happy with the service, free advice, and prices.

Anyone know if this guy is still around?
Did he change the company name?
Heard nothing but bad thinks about them !
Even the BBB does not want any thing to do with them .http://www.bbb.org/edmonton/business...nton-ab-149233

Not sure when you were in Barry Jays but apparently the ownership changed a little while ago. I just bought my boat here and I was very happy with how they treated me. That said, I haven't used the service side of the shop to date.

Edmonton Marine Services. Great guys, fair prices.

Guys that run it used to teach the Marine Mechanic program at NAIT - top notch service.

X 2 for Edmonton Marine Services. I have been taking my boat there for 2 years. Fair price and great service. Had a problem at Gull Lake last year and nobody in Red Deer could figure out what I needed. I phoned Jack at EMS he gave the part number off the top of his head I took it into Red Deer Uncle Bens Bingo right number right part and back on the lake in an hour and a half.

Supreme Marine in St. Albert.

They're great. I've never met a more friendly and customer service oriented bunch than the guys that work there. They know their stuff too, they've been around a long time. I'd highly recommend them.

I've tried quite a number - Shipwreck I find expensive. Barry Jays sold me batteries that lasted only one season and a boat seat that took three times to correct.

The dealer that gets my money for both parts and service now, is Free Spirit Marine - 9930 - 65 Ave NW Edmonton. Ph (780)436-7830.

I don't go anywhere else after getting crappy service elsewhere.
