Default Dog Training

The folks at Kaliber have moved to Whitecourt and I am not sure if Kathleen is still working this. She is excellent.

For NAHRA - the Local Chapter is the Alberta Clipper Club and there is a NAHRA event at Wabamum on July 20, 21 & 22 on the club lands by the Whitewood link golf course. You could meet some of the folks there and get information and also see dogs in action.

If you want to train on your own you need to invest in a solid program. There are lots of them out there and reading a bit will find one that suits your style. This is a link to a very good site on training information, tips and bio's on programs.

If you are interested in other folks that are training hunting dogs this site is mainly dedicated to the waterfowl hunters and has a hunting dog section. There are also sites for field trial folks and the dedicated upland dog trainers.

Hope this helps

The best site on the net for retriever info of all kinds is http://www.retrievertraining.net when you get there go to the retriever training forums. If you ask a question you will get all the answers - and then some.
