Default Anybody in the HVAC trade?

Hey everybody, I'm lookin' to get into the HVAC trade and was wondering if anybody know who's hiring out there. I'm in the Calgary area but outside of it is fine too. Been doing the usual phone calls and hitting the pavement, no luck so far. Was wondering if taking the Pre-Employment program at SAIT would do me any good in opening the doors... has anybody done those sort of programs? Any leads are appreciated. Thank you.

Hvac as in sheet metal or hvac mechanic? The former is relatively easy to get into, the latter not so much. In the current economy every trade is tough to get into for entry level work. I've been trying to get into the electrical trade with no luck either. The pre-employment course at SAIT is just way too costly for me.

From what I've researched, the latter is what I'm aiming for. I hear you though, it's tough. I have a friend who's a 3rd year Electrician and he got a job after doing the Pre-Employment at SAIT. This was a few years ago though when things were better.
