Default Kudos to Canadian Tire Hunting Pro Shop

About four months ago or so, I was at the Canadian Tire Pro Shop in Rocky Mountain House. It was a Sunday and they have a regular Pro Shop guy working weekends there.

We were discussing the usual firearm stuff and he told me they had recently put in an order for several Browning X Bolt Hell's Canyon. I told him (Jay) to call when they get in as I was interested in the 6.5 Creedmoor. He wrote my name and phone number in his book.

So last weekend, Jay calls me to advise some of the Hell's Canyon came in...including a few 6.5 Creedmoor. He said if I still want one, he would put my name on it. Being from Calgary, I immediately drove there as these things are hard to find.

Got there and bought it. First I thought he had forgotten about our talk a few months ago. Obviously he did not. Excellent service!

About 4-5 weeks ago, they also had a 35% sale on select firearms, and we discussed that. Jay tells me that since I was a "Browning" guy, he had something to show me. He pulls out an X Bolt Hunter .243 Win caliber (one that somehow got lost under a pile in their safe) that was part of this sale.
Regular price of $879.99, on sale for $571.99. I bought that one too! Couldn't pass up on the price.

I hear a lot of bad experiences by people shopping at different CT stores. But the one in Rocky is excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Good score Phil. Obviously Jay enjoys his weekend job and is a very astute employee. You should mention that to the store manager or owner. Our own CT store in High River is one of the good ones in all departments.
