Magazine Identification
I received these old magazines in a package deal but have no idea what they are for. From my googling abilities they appear very similar to and old Marlin, possibly an Ithaca as well. Just wondering if anyone knows for sure, and also possibly what the markings on them might mean.

I'd take them to a gun show and see if you find one to match, if no one here IDs them.

Assuming those fit 22 Rf and not 22 Mag; From the ones I know for sure they aren't Savage, Anschutz, CZ, Brno, Krico, Mauser, Weihlrauch, Winchester Marlin, Mossberg, Henry or Ruger. They also aren't for the old Belgiun made Browning T-Bolt. Still doesn't tell you what they are but helps narrow the field a little.
My guess is the numbers where the SN and mag 1 2 etc of the gun they came from.
Be real interested to find out what they are for. Based on the slide on base plate I would say European and the rear mag guide and lock up is a little unusual as well. The Mags look quite old or I would say my guess would be Zastava or something Russian.

45/70
Mag for an M1 is stagger fed, not direct in line.
Xi
Check the back of the mag picture. No engagement bump half way down like one on the Marlin.

Good shooting big guy. I think you nailed it. I googled Toz Mags and they even have the same numbers etched on the sides of the ones there were pictures for. So Russian it is. Those should be worth quite a bit.

They would sell for 50$/ piece on cgn and likely be gone in a few hours. Like I said they are very rare and likely the most sought after magazine in Canada.

If it were me I would be asking a hundred. The only one I saw for sale was in England and it was 40 Lbs. And yes they are rare but not as rare as the Pre 81 BLR Browning mags that are selling for $250 plus. They are getting to be worth as much as the used gun itself.

I think you can make a mossberg plinkster mag work in a toz 17 too.
I looked for one of these mags 10 yr ago for a friend and bought one for 30$
They don't latch worth a **** and therefore get lost easily.
The toz 17 has a history for accuracy but they are typical Russian 1970's finish
Yes a nice little find for the op.

Wow that's awesome guys. Thanks for the help. I did feed one full of 22lr, seemed to fit in it quite nicely. Might have to do a little more research on these.
