Default Reloading Brass

Going to Calgary and will be looking for Brass for my 7mmRM. It looks like I have 3 options .
1. Hornady
2. Winchester
3. Nosler.
Nosler looks like they might have 2 different types?
One cost 67.00 . The other 104.00
Any one better than the other?
Will be shooting paper to 1000 yards.
Thanks

I like the nosler, but it is pricey. They make custom and regular not sure wich is better and what the difference is.
The hornady brass is all right but I have had primer pockets loosen up after a few hot loads threw them.
I have had good luck with the remington brass also.
If you plan on doing lots of shooting I would buy 100 and make sure they are the same case lot #.Consistantsey is your friend when shooting a 1000.

I have used Winchester Brass in my 7 MM for years. Weight sorted and prepped it is every bit as good as the far more expensive Nosler and you get twice as much for the price. If Lapua made 7 Rem Mag that is what I would use, it is about the same price as Winchester right now, but Unfortunately they don't make it.

I like Remington but the brass is near impossible to find. For my new rifles I resorted to buying factory Remington just for the brass. 300 rum nosler brass was $100 for 25 and loaded Remington was $85-$105 for 20.

I use Hornady in my 7mm mag, because that was the factory ammo I shot when building up my brass for reloading. I have to be on 4 or 5 reloads and no sign of the brass wearing out. I also don't load real hot either so I'm just that helps.

I've had problems reloading Hornady brass. I disposed of around 150 pieces of 4-6x fired stuff that was problematic from the beginning. This was for .308, so same cartridge family, and not at all a hot load (46 grains Varget pushing 165 grain projectiles).

The primer pockets were all slightly small, which resulted in a couple damaged primers and a tedious afternoon of widening the pockets. The brass was so stiff it had problems going through the press, and also started to form a ring near the rim. This doesn't happen with other brands of brass through the same die set and rifle.

I've used Winchester extensively, and of the three on your list that's what I would pick. Never touched Nosler because of the price, but I'd take it over Hornady even if the latter was free.

I've allways used remington brass. But can't get it anymore. Weighed out the new nosler and it was about 20gr lighter than the used winchester brass

Default Brass for 7mm Rem Mag

In the 7mm Rem Mag I did prefer Remington to Winchester however Remington has dropped Canadian distribution so we have had to switch. Lately, we have been purchasing the Hornady. Still too early for recent lots. My .308 brass in Hornady did very well. The price differences on this 7mm brass is 30 to 55 dollars for 50 depending on brand and where you shop. Cabela's seems to be the most expensive. We have been trying some PVRI brass from X-RELOAD in Quebec, as it is cheaper than all the US made brass. I haven't tried 7mm specifically in this brand but we had .300 Win. Mag. here that looked pretty good. Too bad Lapua doesn't make it.
On my last box of Winchester 7mm I got 6 reloads. 5 per cent throwaway on last two bags. Split necks.
