Ya I thought about cold for sure but am hoping for something more canadian shield type scenic, plus I only have a 16 footer with a 25hp. I'm looking into the Meadow lake area now.

Meadow Lake Provincial Park - stay at one of the resorts and rent a couple cabins. Fish a different lake each day.
Pierce Lake Lodge, Tawaw Cabins (Waterhen), Flotten Lake Lodge, Lac Des Isles (forget the name of the place), are a couple good options

Northern Cross Resort -Lac Des Isles**
Pierce Lake lodge might be a good bet. I love the folks at the lodge there, super nice and the cabins are first rate. The bonus at Pierce is that you can fish for Pike, Walleye, and Lakers.

Makwa, Jumbo, Ministikwan, Peck, Turtle, Delaronde, Green, Cowan, to name a few good walleye & pike lakes.

We did a bachelor party at Winifred many years ago. Stayed at the lodge and rented boats.. was an absolute blast. Fishing was unreal too..

Thanks for the suggestions guys... We are looking to camp at Lac des isles for a home base and fishing the many surrounding lakes. I was looking at fishing reports and threads from this area and it looks like fishing can be slow for quality/quantity, some say netting/fishing pressure. Wondering if it would be worth taking a trip up to Churchill lake/river for some bigger fish, anyone have any experience there?? Mamba, Have been to Winefred a few times and yes fishing was unreal, sadly they are booked up through june
