Default Aylmer Lake Lodge 17

Well I have began gearing up for another spectacular trip to the arctic barren lands. Cant wait to go fishing for some giant lake trout. Last year they boated some monsters even a 56lbr and hopefully luck will be on my side. Lets just say Im super excited to say the least.

Awesome video! I'm going in 2018! What type and size of line do you recommend for those monsters?

Isn't the owner of the lodge a sponsor here?

All the gear you need is already up there. Might be a small rental fee, I dont remember.

They use a 30lb test with either spinning rods, level winds or im told this year islander has given them mooching reels. It all what you are comfortable in operating.

He was, he posted under "Peace Country". Maybe it has changed hands. Either way it looks like an incredible fishery.

Thanks for sharing this! Just pure natural beauty up there. I have a soft spot for trout, as that is what I grew up catching in PEI, so hope I get the chance to go someday and catch some magnificent ones!
