Wool Coat
I need a new wool coat/jacket for outdoor use, tracking, winter camping, etc. Anyone know a place to get a good deal on one?

Ya figured Filson would be popular. Didn't really want to spend that much, but I guess it'll last forever. Any dealers in Edmonton?

Check wholesale. They used to have a small selection of Filson and Woolrich. Probably better off just ordering online though.

Wool coat
I would check out llbean - lot of gear - lots of wool coats / hunting coats etc
Always free shipping to Canada - and lots of sales.
Everything guaranteed for life-

But on a side note Filson is awesome and if you ever have any issues send it back and they will treat u right...I wore a tiny hole in my packer coat and they sent me a brand new one....

Filson is nice but totally unaffordable. Godet was just as good, but they closed their doors 10 years ago. I think a US outfit has their patterns... Best bang for your buck is LLBean. Nice stuff, extremely durable and affordable. I buy all my clothes through them online.

What ever you choose you should be able to get a good deal from the U.S. on Black Friday. Montana Army and Navy is a Filson dealer.

Out of curiosity, I looked up Codet Clothing and they are still open. My mom worked for them for years. They made awesome cloths...same quality as Filson. They are now under the BiG Bill umbrella in the us. They make all wool pants, jackets....you name it!

Thanks! Just ended up getting a deal on a Filson Double Mackinaw from them. 300 all in with shipping. Hope it fits, had to send it from their Regina store.
