Default Scorpion Optics?

Anyone have any experience with Scorpion Optics? I’m looking at getting a set of their Binos and possibly a scope. I’d like to support a Canadian brand but don’t know anyone who’s had them. How do they compare to some of the main stream brands and what level of optics would they compare too? Specifically the 10x42 Binos

Thanks for the link. I’m also curious if there is any more recent experience since that thread is from 6 years ago.

The company may be Canadian owned, but the products are sourced from overseas. And they are still at the low end of the optical products as far as quality goes.

I put a 4x10x40 on my 243. Seems to hold well, adjustments are smooth and glass is decently clear. Shall see this fall when I bang it around the bush.

My top pic for budget optics are the now discontinued Bushnell Ultra HD series. Have several of the 3-9x40 with DOA 600 reticle, happy with them so far on the .22 etc. Pretty nice having side focus on a 3-9 as well.

Binos, my brother has a pair of Bushnell Ultra HD E-Series (also discontinued IIRC) and they are pretty close to my Japanese made Elites despite costing a lot less..

First thing I have to say about optics most glass comes from off shore,
some manufactures assemble products state side so they can say made in the USA. Scorpion outdoors have come along way with the quality of their optics
so find a retailer and see if they work for you.

Thanks guys, now does anyone know where near Edmonton you can take a look at their product? Looking at the Web site it doesn’t look like they have any retailers in town.

One of the guys we shot with ran one for a week.. I can't remember the model but it had the lock down style turrets on the windage and elevation and it was not good. Tracking was out to lunch and after a few dozen shots it wouldn't hold zero. It was on a 300 wm.
