Default Is the ill fated gun registry dead?

Have Stockwell Day's regular registration amnesties killed the Liberals 2 billion dollar firearm registry boondoggle? One still needs to jump through some hoops and register new firearms but since the amnesties no one is registering the 2/3's never put in the CFC database and they're being sold privately everywhere.....nobody has noticed or cares.
I'd say it's dead standing!

This dog and pony show is far from dead. Remember it only is an amnesty for lack of registration, if said Non Rest. firearm is found to be un registered it will and can be confiscated, and until such time as it remains un registered it will held by the law enforcement types, for something like 28days, maybe longer if they are nice guys, then guess what happens. (hello Stelco)
Just because the amnesties exists does'nt mean squat, it is only protection from prosecution, not from confiscation.

Then their are matters of property rights, legal search and seizure rights, and the right not to incriminate yourself.

I dread the day the Lefty Do Gooders get back in power.

Default gun registry

The gun registry will look like a gun owners best friend if Dion gets in. This guy is the king of commie weinies. I am sure the thought of the peasant citizens being allowed to own firearms galls him and his ilk to no end.

Never thought of that, Dick, but maybe you're right. Pretty scary if the commie sobs can actually take away legally acquired privately owned property, hold it and ultimately destroy it without even laying any charges.
