Smile First deer/center fire rifle

So i finally got the nerve to buy a deer rifle. Found a pretty good deal at canadian tire in cochrane but the best part was the salesman. Great guy at the counter, knew his stuff and cared. So i went with a marlin 336w in 30-30. Bought a box of bullets and blew threw them the same day. So far loving the rifle good for a lefty as well. I have one issue being that when i close the action in seems like the trugger falls forward if the gun is tilted causing the lever to jam. Could i solve this by tighting it up or is it a wear thing? Any way would suggest this gun to any new guys and would suggest cochrane canadian tires gun counter to anyone.
