I was at LLB on Monday. Water is up about a foot to a foot and half from last year. Fishing was pretty good.

Water was very cold and fishing was slow. You certainly could catch fish but you had to really work at it. The water was so cold that the walleye would just sit there on the surface and let you take the hook out after you brought them up.
Like dustin mentioned the water level is up up up again this year.

Very aggressive techniques did not do well. While some fish were caught with them s l o w seemed to be the order for success.

Good Luck to you

The ice just cleared off the northern lakes recently. Like within last couple weeks or so, so ya, not surprised they are maybe a little sluggish up that way but still willing and able. They'll be on the feed bag real soon! The old timers say the Walleye bite doesn't get real good in the spring until the poplar fluff is flying around lol! Usually pretty accurate too! Won't take long now. Surface Water is temp is still only 50/52 degrees in the lakes I'm fishing. Add 5 to 10 degrees boys and it's game on for a sore arm and a lighter wallet at TFH!
