I was being sarcastic.

I have no problem paying a private enterprise for access to great fishing. They maintain the road and build the launches so I pay them to access a lake that otherwise would require a float plane and be beyond my means. This is why the fishery is good, because it costs a decent amount of money to use the services of either outfit. If it was super cheap or when the campground eventually gets built, the quality of fishing will go down. If it was my outfit, I'd charge as much as possible as long as I was still selling out.

I've dealt with Paul and the lodge and never had an issue with either.

News to me never herd of that story, they had cancelled them cabins at Lakeland prov. Park

Well another good trip to Winefred lake was had, the lake is in fact up from last year at least 1.5-2'. The fishing was awesome as usual, caught plenty of pike and even some walleye! Was able to boat up the sand, and grist river, with the water level being up. As an added bonus, free airshow! The fighter jets were out for a couple of days during operation Maple flag from cold lake im guessing? Heard them break the sound barrier a couple of times, awesome!

And paul and Sheri were awesome hosts as usual, his camp and boat launch were busy with eager customers renting boats, and cabins, etc.

We had forgotten a few items, and Sheri was nice enough to accommodate us by picking up the items we had forgotten when she went to lac La Biche, now that's service!

Very easy launching the boat there at Pauls dock, with the water level being up.

The weather was great, only raining one day and a little too windy to get out, but we made up for it the next day!

The road going in and out was nice and dry, despite the rain on Sunday.
The fish caught were all nice and healthy looking, going back in August, can't wait!

Book a trip @ Paul and Sheri's you will not be sorry, great hosts, and nice cabins and boats for rent, etc!

Spotty reception in the lodge. You Will pick up a signal on the lake in places.

Part 3 pics from Winefred, random assorted pics in no particular order!
Lots pics of my Dog Shadow, she tells me she's not a dog, and likes to be in pics! A pic of golden, bald eagles, a huge moose track that's longer than the beer bottle. Going back this august, will get better pictures of the fish! Was able to go quite aways up the sand, and grist river, much farther than many years past. The water level was up at least 18" from last year, and with all the recent rain since, will only rise more Im sure. Only used the lures shown in the pics, as thats what they liked at the time! The water was crystal clear with no algae present yet. Had some shore lunches/smokie roasts in Eagle bay, lots of firewood along the beach there, made sure the fire was completely out with 20 pails of water, and cold to the touch after, etc! I will get my go pro type camera working next time for some underwater fish action!

I saw the golden eagle as well. First time I've seen one at winefred.
