Feed your tube feed.
In terms of 22 rimfire, a lot of people don't like tube feed magazines, likely because of the time it takes to fill it. But tube fed rifles do have a slight advantage over "clip" fed magazines. One of which is that you can't loose a tube, but "clips" often go missing. One of my favourite gopher patch lil' 22's is a Savage 6D. Semi auto tube feed that never complains about ammo brand etc.
As I was picking a a few groceries that "yes dear" had given me a list for at Co-Op, I came upon a pack of "party straws" They are large enough to accept 22 shells. They are bigger than those famous McDonald straws that we all know work well with an RCBS Chargemaster. I took one end and filled it with hot glue to plug it. Filled up the straw with 22 shells, the standard length accepts 9. Then I plugged the other end with electrical tape. Repeat this 10x. Afield in the gopher patch, you simply remove the tape, tip the straw in the tube magazine....Bob's your uncle.
I forgot to mention. The pointy end (business end) of the bullets go towards the hot glued end.....duhhh!

The Dirty Harry speed loader for the Cooey Repeater.
You could have made a million dollars flogging your idea to H.W. Cooey in the day - but you're 78 years too late!.

Oh yes you can lose tubes. The win 94/22 is a bad one as the tube fit is loose and with no ammo in it the keeper pin is not held tight . I have replaced quite a few of those as well as other brands over the years
May not be quite as prone to lose though but they are generally $$$

Dear Gitrdun didn't mean to **** on your parade . But facts are facts if you want to insult me or people that have lost tubes go ahead. You have no ideas of my experience or knowledge. Just sharing information on an open forum.

Only time I seen a tube issue was my buddy was showing me his gun and he walked through a door (tall guy) with the tube extended and it bent. Was able to bend it back but eventually it cracked from what he told me. He ordered one from the states for replacement. Other than that never heard of the tube falling out lol.
But I like your idea! Going to use it for my lever BLR 22. great idea!

Works a charm

Great idea. Thanks for the heads up my Rossi pump 22 and Henry pump 22 mag are a pleasure to shoot and load. But a way to load faster would be better in some ways!
Great ideas

Rimfire Loaders
For my tube fed rimfires I use the following
https://henrypride.com/collections/h...nt=18464035398
They are available from Henry or Midwayusa. They do come in different sizes.

I use a speed feeder for my Henry Frontier .22mag. I can load 11 rounds in about 2 seconds. I does work well. But there are issues with tube magazines. Pointed center fire bullets lead the way in terms of safety.

My buddy and I had speed loaders like this as well back in the day of our local fish and game clubs gopher shoots . Had enough to hold 2 bricks of 22 shells each . Plugged one end and had a snap pin to close the other . Won our competition 3 out of 4 years then they quit having em ..lol .

LOL The old "where the heck is this coming from????" Then you start figuring perhaps a few prior posts went sideways and have been deleted by our mod friends.
Back to the topic at hand, If you need speedy loading in the field, the suggestion made is great. I don't require rapid fire and reload capability in the field, so I personally don't see an advantage. BUT THAT IS JUST FOR ME. You can take the time to load single rounds in a tube on your rifle, or load single rounds into a plastic tube at home, then carry them all, then load them into your rifle tube in the field. That's no time saving overall.
