Default Ideas for future gun purchase

well now that I will have a steady job and such I will be looking to purchase a gun in late summer for when hunting season comes. Now the big choice is..which one lol...I do alot of bushwacking, trails etc so need something reliable for all weather. But want the accuracy and range with the reliability. I have fired tons of different rifles, have no problem carrying anything with some weight. will be hunting everything...deer, moose, elk. so thought id get some opinions on some guns from you guys then go to a few stores eventually and check the fit and such.

thanks

Tikka T-3s have become very popular in Canada. They are almost always accurate and have a very smooth action. The price isn't too bad either.

I would get a Ruger No. 1 in any sensible calibre. You only need one shot for hunting and the No. 1 can give you that in a package a little bit larger than the 30-30 carbine.

Were it me, if I had to go to a bolt, I would look awfully hard at the Sako.
