Default Economic Update

Interesting little look at some data from the US Bureau of Labor.
Here is the link: http://www.bls.gov/news.release/cesmy.nr0.htm
One interesting chart: wages decreased in all percentiles except the top:

Take it for what you will, but the economy as a whole is growing at a healthy rate. Where is this money going?

Is it?

Just read a report yesterday from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta that the forecast GDP dropped to 0% April 1 with a slight rise to 0.1% on the 2nd.

I am no financial whiz but I do know there is some gross manipulation going on.

I guess I was looking at the Wall Street numbers, which I believe have been up almost 10% year, and has doubled since 2008. But I guess that might also be a root cause of the numbers from above: corporate growth is up, but the economy as a whole isn't following.

This is all really crazy.

Stock market is incredibly high, I know there are many on here that watch it.

The employment numbers out there (the big picture, not the so-called 5% unemployment rate) do NOT confirm a robust economy.

I wish I knew more financially, like I said. What I have seen is government issued reports that are contradictory.

Weird.

It's not weird.

Also, the stuff we buy is made in foreign countries where people get paid almost nothing but it's still our money going there to pay them.

And people owning/holding majority of shares in big companies manage to pay minimal taxes, take their money out of country (offshore), and otherwise hoard it so it does not make it back to people like you and me.
