What are you grateful for?
What an awesome thread!!

I am grateful, above all, for an unlimited running supply of water, and that I am free from having to worry about the safety of my family.

To Omega for asking such a question, and having to take some time to realize a thing or two.

Thanks Omega

Great thread Omega!!
Today I was reminded of how grateful I am for close friends. We all live our separate busy lives but every so often we take the time to call or email or text and catch up. And there are those very special times when we let our guard down, open up to how we really feel and tell each other how much we appreciate each other.

I am a lucky man.

Truth be known, I am very grateful for the many things that my family and I have been blessed with. But right up there in the very top three, is that I am glad, proud, and very grateful ... that I was born 'Canadian' !

top of the list of course as so many have said
health
family
being canadian
these are so important in everyones life.

one of the other things i have gratitude for, as silly as it may sound, is this little place on the web. Daily i enjoy reading the posts and learning ,laughing and just plain enjoying (FOR THE MOST PART) everyone on here. I go to other sites and few have the feel this one does. I read how people here genuinely care when others are in distress and hurting. I love the way so many offer up such kind caring words of encouragement. Its really a great place to come and read about other peoples lives and interests.
I have said it before and will say it again ..i love this little family of friendly open people and i am grateful to all of you for allowing me to be part of the AO family..
thanks all .. mods and Rob too.

great thread Omega

What am I grateful for? Our faith that keeps us strong and helps my family cope with the ups and downs in life. My wife gave birth to our second child a baby girl. She was 5 weeks early and is staying in Nicu in red deer. The staff at the red deer Nicu are totally awesome. I can't thank them enough. I'm grateful for all the people that donate to the Ronald McDonald house and every charity there is. You never know when you may need the service. . We are staying there till our baby is released. Truly blessed to be an Alberta where I can raise a family around people that care about their fellow man.

That just yesterday afternoon my oncologist said "it doesn't look like a malignant tumour to me". Still more testing to be done but I'll take those words any day. Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Thanks thunderheart! I've been working hard on staying a half step ahead of the things that try to kill me. I've had plenty of bad news and a couple of close calls but I'm not going anywhere soon. I got stuff to do.

Just got back from 10 days in Mexico!
It is nice to get away but even nicer to come home to Alberta!
You see how lucky we are as soon as you get on highway 2.
No pot holes. No trash on the side of the road.
And I won't complain (( as much )) about the cold.
I'd rather have cold then that blasted heat anyway.
Loved it when I was 20 but not as much anymore.
We all won the lottery being born in Canada!!!
