Default Easton arrows 400 or 340

Hey guys and gals, I just switched over to easton fmj and the worker at the store recommended the 340 for my set up even though the chart said I should be 400. Do you agree with this? My draw weight is 60 and 29 inches.

Thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You can get away with it. I shoot maxima 250's at 62 lbs with a 29 inch draw. But my arrows are right around the 28 inch mark which will put the arrow spine right where I need it to be to have lite arrow for speed wise. Or you can go with the 400 spine and have a heavier harder hitting arrow. With my 250's my hunting overall weight is 349gr and at 62 lbs they are over 320fps

Im the same...The CX Maximas 250.s are 0.413" and 7.4GPI... an Easton FMJ 400 is 0.400 and 10.2 GPI
Close to the same spine but much different in weight...

It's for a APA Viper,

Now I know I ca probably get away with it and the store worker recommended the 340 cause he said spine should be stiffer. Do you guys think I should keep them or get the 400. I haven't cut them yet either.

with a 100 grain head and you don't cut them less than 29 or 30 inches, the 340's will be perfect...cut any shorter, then the 400's would be perfect. However, not a huge issue being a little overspined.

With the Viper you can get away with both...kinna borderline either way...light and heavy...borderline heavy is easier on bow..easier to tune and better penertration and KE for hunting...
