Check archery buy and sell on Facebook too. They should have something in your price range whatever it might be.

first bow
lots of things to consider when buying your first bow, price range, uses, brands, bare or package bow. Price determines a lot of what your buying. How much are you looking to spend and is hunting going to be your main focus?

Dan4570 has a G5 Quest loaded up for $300, listed in the buy and sell section. 50-60 lbs weight which is good for a 1st bow. G5 makes a quality product and the accessories he has listed are much better than the "package bow" crap.

O.P., Where are you located? I would go to an archery club and get a feel for a few different bows, talk to the pros, that should narrow your search a bit. I bought an APA mamba for my first bow. I really like it.

This sounds good. I'd shoot as many bows as possible and start from there.
good luck and welcome to the club.
