Default Who's track is this?

Hey guys I found this track on my line the other day. Porcupine or Otter? There were no footprints I could tell anything from and I really didn't have much time to check it out. I got my boot and my glove there for size reference.
There is a real shallow 3 yards wide creek a few hundred yards away but no major water around.

Otter for sure. I saw one just over a week ago cross the road on your neighbours line not far from your west boundary. Maybe the same one. He was heading east in a hurry.
There was a pack of 10 wolves on the same road. They chased a small bull moose across the road. Hope you choke them.

Thanks Luke. Hows your line doing?
So how do I catch this otter running through the forest
Should I get a 330 box and some fish and hope he comes back through? I hear that they like to freqent the same areas and travel in 2's usually

Follow his tracks to the nearest water! You should find an opening to under the ice somewhere. Both mine last year were caught simply placing a 330 over these holes. Caught both 10 meters and 2 weeks apart! It will be back!

Bore a hole into the side of a beaver house put a 280 in front of it and put grass all around it otters like holes ( no bait) a trapper from manitoba taught me this I haven't tried it yet but i am going to set a few and see what happens.

Gonna be a late start for me. Gonna take it easy on em this year. Hammered them pretty hard last season.
Hope you get that otter in a marten box. I talked to a trapper last week that got a mature otter in a 120 belisle. Had the box on a leaning pole like I see you have some set. It could happen. Good luck and great start on your new line.
