Default PAL--6 weeks minimum

Hey guys
I sent away my PAL about a month ago (yah, I know, shoulda done it earlier before hunting season) and they say 6 weeks minimum. I was hopin best case scenario and be able to have it and the rifle I'm buyin sighted in before the rut.

Being hunting season and all though, my buddy thinks I'd have a horseshoe up my ars if I even got it before the end of hunting season, due to a higher volume of applicants. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the thoughts!
Moults

I know with my original one in 2001 and renewal in 2006 they both took right around 4 weeks max. Wish you luck and hope they get it sooner than later to you.

Both times mine were done in the spring.

Default Good luck

My renewal just took 15 weeks. Would have been longer if I had not called to follow-up.

Gave that info to a coworker that had been waiting 17 weeks for a renewal- after calling his PAL showed up 2 weeks later.

Thanks for the info--that's a bit startling! I'll have to give them a shout. You wouldn't happen to have the number on hand, would you?

Thanks!

There is a mandatory 28 day waiting period, but yes, on average it probably takes about 6 weeks. Have you tried to check the status of your application on line? Here's the link:
