Tacoma. Not even a contest.

Especially if you need to rely on your truck and want something that won't cost an arm and a leg to operate. Plus they're good for pulling "real" trucks out of ditches or off of lease sites.

Yup i went out and test drove em both. Tacoma is way better but that back seat. There is no way i can fit the baby seat in the back and with the same price as titanx xd or an f150 ecoboost. I might have to go for the full size option. This is only due to the backseat size.

I know its an old thread, but this is an indepth review of the Tacoma that just came out, and shows performance, economy, interior/exterior dimensions, etc. of the 1/4 ton class with emphasis on the Tacoma.

Car & Driver

I'd still recommend test drives, just might help save a bit of time by eliminating some choices.

Hands down Tacoma for the outdoors man, I'm sure the GM will be fine buzzing around the city.

Was a Tacoma fan until I saw the aftermath of a very low speed rollover on a hunt where my buddy slid through a T intersection West of Millarville.

We watched it happen from about 50 yards behind.

Shocked and disgusted and frightened that his injuries were so significant at such a low speed

Not a chance I would risk my life in that sardine can

And what makes you think that the outcome would have been much different if he had been driving a Canyon?

What makes you think I ever said the outcome would be better?

The topic of the thread s Tacoma vs Canyon,, so it would seem appropriate to compare the Tacoma to the Canyon.

They were proud enough of the Ranger though to leave the logo on back.
