Default New pup soon

After alot of research I found a breed that suited both hunting and family needs. One of the male pups here (2 days old) is mine. Llewellen setters. Will be driving to North Dakota to meet the breeder when its time to pick up the new addition. Will be fun having a pointer to hunt with and I guess they can be a heck of a retriever aswell

There were VERY few breeders in Canada, if any left, and the best one is retired and in a home now.

These are quite popular in the states. They are the breed that is lazy around the house but when its work time its like a switch is turned on. Not as amped up all the time as a gsp,gwp etc.

But watch videos of them working, amazing dogs.

Working almost all my days off in April just to afford this fella lol

Started watching vids after I posted. I love watching dogs working at what they were bred for.

Beautiful looking dogs and undoubtedly awesome pointers. Gotta admit though, I love the look of Gordon's in the field, but doubt if there's many breeders left of the breed.
Congrats on the new addition to your Life.

I always thought of the Llewelyns as some of the most beautiful of all gun dogs , but burrs and such can be crazy to get out at times !

Smile They are pretty

Great swimmers too, they use that long tail like an oar and can turn on a dime. There was one in our dog club, very nice dog. There are 2 NAVHDA clubs now in Alberta and I encourage you to join the one of your choice. He can run in a "test" at the end of Aug.
