Default 300 win mag casing, down to 280

Curious, I have 12 casings of 300 win mag, not even sure how I got them.
So one of them is necked down to 280. So what is this casing for ?
Is it a 7mm ultra mag ? Head stamp still says 300 win mag, as do the others.

7mm/300mag
The ultramag is a non belted magnum with larger capacity than the standard belted magnum cases like thee 7 , 300, and 338 mags.

It's a smokn 7mm that one can use a standard length action. I have built some . Also done 270 / 300 win that was pushing 130 gr way past what a 270 wby mag could

Is it the same length as a standard 300 Win Mag?

Correct me if I am wrong...if a 300WM is simply necked down without changing the shoulder angle it would be called 7mm-300WM. Only if the shoulder angle was changed from 25 to 30 degrees, would it become a 7mm Practical?
I suspect that would also increase the length ofthe neck?
