Default Slug Gun

Does anyone own or have used the Savage bolt action slug gun? Saw it in Cabela's and I am intrigued. Thoughts?

Thanks,

Matt

I read good reviews in regards to accuracy. There's plenty of decent sabot slugs out there to see what she likes.
My 870 likes the Win BRI and Lightfeild Hybrid EXP.
But I like to shoot em on the economy side and roll my own.

Best price I found so far are the Lightfield brand. I picked up a box each of the 2.75" ($18/5) and 3" ($20) from The Shootist in St Albert. The 2.75" were same hole at 50yds and dead on at 100. I compensated at 100 thinking they're dropped like a freight train like my home rolled Lee's but nope. They hit where the crosshairs rested.

Slight west wind breeze but still good imo at 100yds for s shuttle cock slug
