Default New Bow (photos)

I decided last year I wanted to start hunting with traditional bows. I purchased a recurve last spring but didn't feel confident enough with it by fall so stuck with the compound last year. I have been shooting quite a bit this winter and am feeling more and more confident all the time. I even went ahead and bought another bow. I just received my new Cari-Bow Wolverine longbow. It is a thing of beauty. It has a Wenge/Bubinga riser with quilted Bubinga limbs. I am afraid buying these traditional bows may become addicting.

The recurve I have been shooting and learning on since last summer.

Default Traditional bows

Very nice looking bows, I know it takes a lot more practice to be accurate with traditional archery equipment, but I think the reward you will get when you get something will be worth all the practice. Cheers

Beautiful bow. Friend at work is looking at a longbow. He loves shooting my Chekmate beaver creek. If you don't mind me asking what is a bow like that worth, and did you have to order it and wait.
Thanks.

Caribow is one of the top bows you will find and they are performers.. Abe Penners workmanship, finish is as good as anyone and his woods and veneers are real eye candy.. The Wolverine is a great shooting bow, and very much like his Peregrine, just a tad shorter.
His site is www.caribow.com there are usualy lots of in stock bows there to see, all ready for shipping without the long wait for a custom build.

I know what you mean, but Abe Penners bows {Caribow} are made to hunt, and hunt hard.

I cannot wait to start shooting a trad this spring!!

Have you all seen the the pics John Neeman tools has put out for the longbow they will be selling soon. Crafted by some fella names A. Vilister. They look pretty incredible. Shipping may be a tad expensive since they are made in Latvia.

I second these comments ... I've had a Caribow takedown recurve (Taiga) for years ... fantastic bow. Abe was a finishing carpenter and a bow hunter and decided to put those two skills to work ... among the best traditional bows going.

Beautiful Bow. Nice thing about traditional bows is you can actually have a one of a kind treasure to cherish. Nothing like beautiful woods finely crafted. And yes it is highly addictive.
Even sold all my modern compound equipment this season to buy a few more Trad bows.
