Default Is a license needed for snaring fox on private land?

Hello everyone,

I have a lot of fox running around my cabin and even had a few come on the deck at night for a visit and I was wondering if it is legal for someone who does not have any trapping license to snare fox on their own land. I have had limited success trapping fox with a live cage trap but I am looking for something a little bit more effective.

Thanks, I couldn't find anywhere in the regulations where it discussed this.

Why do you want to trap them. Are they causing you some problem?

Fox are great at keeping mice populations down. But they are hard on your pheasants. 22 mag works great on a fox just the right size.

Maybe just give them "a shot over the bow". From what I have seen of foxes, they are very skittish and move permanently when harassed much. Too low on the pecking order.
