Default 3/4 wt rigs

Okay, got to use a 3/4 wt unit and fell in love. Loved the feel and everything.
Now for the question, where can one find a nice, but not overly expensive, 3/4 wt setup in the Edmonton area?
I have a line with relatives for a Wychwood Truefly SLA, or a Snowbee Diamond rod. But cannot find them over here.
Any ideas??

Mike

Contact CDone (Colin) on here. He is Snowbee pro staff. NA distributor is out of BC (Nike Creek Fly shop). Courtney is a good guy and will deal fairly.

I got a 8'8 Beulah platinum 4 wt from the guys at Nile creek when they were in town for the fly expo this year. Fantastic guys to deal with, very knowledgable and gave me 50% off. The platinums are great rods. I have the 3wt as well and both are spooled with rio trout lt. Beautifully casting rods. Something else to consider if you will be dealing Nile creek.

I bought a too 7'6" 3wt at cabelas for around $200. Picked up a reel used from an ao member here and have been sporting that all season. I liked the shorter rod for better maneuvering through the bush and fishing the small streams.

Fly Expo?? How the heck did I miss that!...lol
Found Nile Creek, figured that was who you were mentioning, looked at the key board, they are close.
Hate to say it but, I dont like Cabelas, I keep running into fools in there.

Beulah rods, never heard of them, time to go looking...

Thanks for the info everyone.

I bought the TFO 7'9" finesse 3wt and paired it with an Orvis mid arbor reel, and it feels like a small bendy twig in your hands. Great for the small creeks and for a decent price

My wife throws a Beulah Guide series 8'6" 4 wt and loves it for backcountry lakes and for her bow river dry fly rod. Long story as to how I acquired it ( supposed to get a custom Beulah blank built for my 40th and there was a major screw up)... If you want to give it a chuck let me know.

Peter

Edit, a sorry just noticed you were in SG.

7'6" 3wt echo carbon with a redington rise/orvis access mid arbor spooled with s/a sharkskin. Nicest casting rod I have used in a long time and it's real purty too

Just got a Echo Glass 4wt 7'4" a little while back this thing is a blast for small trout. I like it for lazy roll casting days also. Casts beautifully paired with a Redington Drift and Rio Trout LT. You'll have yourself an awesome little trout rod that won't break the bank.
