personally II can see no reason at all why anybody would pass on that buck, but then I don't hunt deer for the antlers.

It’s a nice young buck congratulations to the hunter but November 1-28 he’d get a pass by me he’s tall not overly heavy or wide but plenty of good meat and no I’m not being a dick either congratulations to the hunter again

I don’t think anybody would take offence to a comment like that , after all , the decision rests with the guy behind the rifle.

Not seeing the big deal. I had a 180” muley in my scope last year. Couldn’t settle the crosshairs down for a head on 250 yd shot. I had time, but I needed broadside. In a blink he was on a full run into the coulee. I couldn’t live with wounding and not finding a deer of that calibre. No regrets, as I figured someone in our group could get on him again. Next evening, I was laying beside my best bud on top of a coulee watching him fall to a well placed shot out of buddy’s 243.
I may take a lifetime of ribbing for that missed opportunity, but you really can’t hurt my feeling.

All you had to do was call.
There was a vacancy after all.

No ya don’t, it’s just how I roll.
Sadly yesterday is about the only day it would have worked, the rest of the month don’t look as open.

No worries I sacrificed my 2 pop up blind locations and took a stand yesterday because I had the wife and buddy out. May not be in the same luxury but in most cases I at least stay dry when I don’t have company lol
Still owe you a coffee and handshake either way.

He had a serious bloody nose and I left the paper towel back at the truck, so I made due.
Yes he’s got quite the body. Longer than most. While I have a winch in the garage for processing, I can usually lower a buck so that I’m comfortable with skinning out the back legs and the rear end without having to tip toe or strain, or side step the antlers and head. On this guy everything was in the way or wrong to get at the rear legs and butt. He’s a long bodied SOB.

certainly not meant to hurt a feeling! when i hunt with guys like you and colin, not much goes on that could be considered a missed opportunity, so a hack like me takes every opportunity to poke fun, lol
looking forward to the end of the month............
