and cheap like Borscht. So simple and so light and no bulk at all, you can wear it in a bunch of different configurations and you don't have to fight with the cover of the pocket to get at your Bino's in a hurry.

I like my Alaska Guide Creations one. I do wish that the cover opened down instead of up though but other than that its excellent.

FHF rules the roost. Kuiu is almost there. Complete protection for your binoculars, holds them securely, small, and you probably can’t wear them out.

I use a diy version of this harness. I have Browning bag type with two side compartments that I like for full coverage.

Default Kuiu

I run the new pro harness system from kuiu and love it. Full coverage and the L fits my 10x50 Zeiss binos really well. Definite improvements from the previous one. If you are running anything bigger than 10x50 go to the XL size. Highly recommend the underside pocket and rangefinder caddy as well. You can even add a bladder to the straps for day hunts in the summer.

I use the badlands harness from cabelas. Mine has the zipper on it. I bought a badlands harness a couple days ago for the boss as an xmas present. Hers has a magnet instead of a zipper. It's on sale half price right now. They have a spot for a water bladder between your shoulders. Cabelas doesn't sell the bladder tho. Not sure why.

The pro harness is definitely an improvement over the original.

I have the vortex glass pack, I like it but I see everyone seems to prefer the kuiu. What does the kuiu do better than my vortex? All I’ve owned is the vortex one.

The Vortex is a knock off of FHF. The Kuiu pro is a knock off of the FHF concept, because the original Kuiu harness needed improvement. Kuiu is more popular because it says Kuiu on it.

Default Alaska Guide Creations Denali Bino Harness

As others have mentioned, Alaska Guide Creations, I have the denali version
It holds my 8x56 Bino's, and range finder perfectly. I have winged eye cups on the bino's, so they are taller with the eyecups, and the Denali pack has enough room to close the pack, etc.

The pack also has a harness system, and distributes the weight evenly over the shoulders, and around the chest. There is enough adjustment to wear over bulky clothes, or tight, etc.

There is a zipperd area, on the back of the pack that can hold your licenece or folded paper documents, etc.

Also there is 2 zippered side pockets on the sides of the range finder compartment, and a spot on the top off the bino flap, etc

The flap is help shut by a shock cord, that can be adjusted for tension, etc.

It also has a bino tether system, which allows you to flip the top open, and allow the bino's to hang, tether is long enough to bring up to viewing position, etc.

I wiped out on an ice crossing yesterday, and the pack stayed rock solid, and tight around my chest, etc.

I have tried other bino packs, and found this one to be the best, for my particular needs, etc.

Hope this helps!!

I will post some pics of the bino pac, etc.

Another vote for AGC. I have the Kodak Cub with the basement pocket and have nothing but good to say about it.

Hey Chuck,

How close is the Vortex in quality to the FHF? I’ve seen the Vortex at Cabela’s in Edmonton. I need a new case for my 8x42 Geovids and would like to try em for size if possible before buying.

It really isn’t in the same league. Go with the FHF. You won’t regret it.

Eberlestock scout for me.

Opens fast with one hand and keeps bino safe...side can clip the rangefinder but not super secure.

I switched to a Sitka one this year and like every other Sitka item it is amazing. I have vortex binos - only complaint is binos move around and make clunk noise when walking. I fixed by storing a spare pair of gloves to make fit tighter.

How many bino harness's have the bear spray holster? Seems like a good idea.

I have 2 Binos Harness.

AGC Denali absolutely loved it for my Leica HD-B plus all sorts of gear with in arms reach rather than going into my pack on a long hikes.

Also Picked up the Kuiu Pro Harness and really like it as well wish the front pocket was bigger I can barely squeeze my tags in the pockets but the XL holds my Bino's very well.

Extremely happy with both.

The AGC looks great if you want to throw your lunch, rattling antlers, or an extra pair of pants in there. But my gosh do they look bigger than they need to be. That’s what backpacks are for.

For a long day Hike I find the AGC to be excellent I can pack a Radio in the top cliff bars in the front knife on the side with spare bullets less I have to stop and take my Pack off the better when I'm trying to make miles.

I agree with the AGC folks. To start off with its comfortable and can pack a lot depending on the modle. I got the classic Max for my vortex viper 10x42s. It has room for a range finger, wind checker, lense pens/wipes, small knife, tags, lip balm, lighter and even a sleeve on top for your phone. Carrying all that while barely noticing it hanging off your chest speaks volume to the design and quality. Only small complaint is that I would have liked to see better straps on the bottom for attaching a can of bear spray. I'll probably end up adding some like the FHF models have. Do your research and find the pack that suits your needs but take a good look at the AGC.
