Default Red fox prices?

Can anyone tell what the foxes did at the NAFA auction? Thank you for your replies.

Not very optimistic about fox prices. Think there will be a lot of bought back and poor averages.

Curious if there is much of a price difference between red Fox and cross Fox, if any.

Yup, I never sent any in this year other than to get tanned. Two more going in shortly. Such a beautiful fur too.

Sold 2 at this auction 54 and 13.5.
I have 15 foxes at home. And I'm still debating if I should send them in; or just get them tanned instead.

I know a member here and resident of Lloyd caught a few nice ones this year. He might want to have one tanned for you. I got a beautiful dark one but I already promised it to my daughter.

I'd have a couple others if I'd learn to slow down turning them. I managed to rip two this year. I've got another but it's not particularly big or nicely coloured.

so whats the market like for tanned wall hangers do you guys think? i have 20 fox to get rid of. I was thinking of sending them all to the next sale but if I only get 15-20 a piece I wouldn't be too excited. might tan them up if i can get rid of them that way

As long as you can find someone to buy them you can sell them at a discount and still make more than you would at auction. Have a look at the Halfords Hides prices for red fox. If you are going to get them tanned for $50 each, finding the buyers for them is the crap shoot.

Some nice tanned ones on EBay, both US and CA.
Averaging $120.

Tanning at wester in Edmonton is $90 a fox. I sold 15 of mine last year for $150 a peice. half was U.S dollars as well. It's not worth the time and effort for anything less dealing with buyers, driving to tannery and mailing etc.......
