I don't buy the busy, distracted, ran out of material, excuses. How long does it take to tie 10 flies?
And yes, since I'm not part of the fly swap, I realize its really none of my business, but felt the need to put in my 2 cents.
As mentioned in my previous post on this page, mine were posted last week, so were professori. 20% of apparently late participants is pretty good for a fly swap.
Life is complicated and sometimes it's tough to find the time to even tie 10 flies. I always find that fly swaps take longer than expected, it's the nature of the beast.

Hey , as long as we all get them before that ice melts , I don't see a big deal . It's nice to be part of something, I realize people get busy and also realize that the postal service kinda has a lot on their plate this time of year ....
Everything comes to he who waits ...

Lol. That's classic.

Anyways.... just wanted to thank those who found the time during the busy season and with all the plethora of reasons that schedules change, leading to not having the time that we initially thought/hoped.

lol......no worries here. not going to be using them till spring. its a busy time and the mail usually gets super slow this time of year. I just wanna keep everyone in the loop so nobody starts thinking I'm selling the flies on the black market and heading to mexico! lmao

Oh oh, somebody is a little bit jealous now 'cause he saw that the quality of the flies coming in is a lot better than expected!

No question the quality of the flies submitted is very good. There are even a few patterns (from the pictures) that I will undoubtedly copy.

Nonetheless, with the exclusion of serious complications, no one can convince me that it should/could take over a month to tie/ship 10 flies.

Finally, whose expectations are we talking about? Hah!

I'm done.

Seeing how things will be frozen for the coming months, I am in absolutely no rush.

I'm not too sure about "cool", but you're definitely "special".
