Default Spring Bear Hunt 2009

This is my first year bear baiting, went in on it with a friend of mine. We now relaize just how much work goes into it, but thankfully it seemed to pay off... learned alot for next season.

Congrats on a great looking bear. How big was he? It looks like it has great size to it. I noticed that you used a rifle....are you considering a bow for the next go around next year? Beautiful bear....its a hunt that is very addicting!!!!!!!!!

Lots of work! Gotta make sure the bears don't train you! Congrats on a fine rookie season ... that sets the bar high for you.

congratulations man, nice bear!! We had a few big boys skulking around our baits this year, but no one was able to get away and hunt them, other than May Long.....which was a write off from a bear hunting perspective. Im going to scale things back next year, and only run one bait. Trying to amass 5000 lbs of oats and stink for 5 stands took the fun out of it this year.

I'm not a 'baiting guy', I prefer 'spot and stalk'. But either way I Love bear hunten and that is a monster looking bear. Congrats. Tasty of course...and will look good on a wall.
