How did those scottish roots celebrate this day?
I spent the afternoon with another piper and drummer entertaining some elderly folks around Wainwright.
I didn't know it was a special day, otherwise I would have gone out and sneezed on some old folks too.
What exactly is tartan day?
I'll assume your sneezing remark was humor.
We played in parking lots at old folk homes and the hospital as well as in the street near some old army veterans houses.
Tartan day originated in 1980 in Nova Scotia to recognize the Declaration of Abroath in 1320

I think some of the old folks are getting a little stir crazy with no visitors allowed.
