Default Not a monster, but “my” trophy!

Just thought I’d share this fella. I missed this deer on November 3rd. My first daughter was born the day a year ago. I promised myself I’d hunt him until I got the shot right, just so my daughter of 1 year could pose with him. Meanwhile the wife stayed back and encouraged as she was pregnant with our second on the way. I know he’s not a massive buck, but I put some real time into harvesting him. I was pretty damn happy to get it done. We all got to take a look at our other halves that get this done. Spending extra hours, and having a hot meal when you get home. I cheers all you outdoorsman. Trophies to me is the story, not the inches. His mass was unmistakable from a long ways away!

He is a fine deer, and some day your daughter may just be posing with her first buck, good luck to you both.

Congrats and I agree 100% the hunt is more important then inches. An animal you have history with, is unique or a cool experience mean more in my opinion

Good job.
A target buck is no diff than a 200”buck. Memories are the prize.

Congratulations'
There are those that will call your deer small, Some that will call it big, but it was your hunt and in the end your tag that is on that deer and that is the main thing!
