Synthetic?
I have one that I bought, and was going to use on a project but never did.
I am in Red Deer, but go to edmonton often,
I think its short action... might be long.
Again was just bought as a project piece because I came across it for $20 at a sell out sale, and it was only 15 to ship.

Took the boy out shooting and a little trek through the woods looking for bear. Long story short, I left the guns where I shouldn't have and went to move the truck to get a better shooting view and well ran over the guns.

Geez... I just got rid of one a couple weeks back.

Boydes makes stocks that they can slip right into... thats why I had a spare.

Do Boyd's stocks come ready to install? I only briefly read that some come with a little wood work to do on them before you can install them.

Typically a bit of final inletting on Boyds finished stocks but we'll worth your effort.......,
There are also two synthetic take-offs for sale on ebay.com right now fairly cheap

X2 on Jennings, replaced my Series 1 vanguard synthetic stock with an AMAZING authentic Weatherby Vanguard Deluxe stock.
Call Dave Jennings if you want another Factory Weatherby Stock.

FYI, be advised that you cant order a stock out of the USA if its retail cost is over $100. The USA authorities consider it "Gun Parts" and wont let it pass without a crap-load of paperwork.
If you choose a different aftermarket stock, check out BOYDS. I have a thumbhole laminate stock from them that they were able to ship to me due to the retail price being under $100. Nice stock, fit really well with just a little finicky sanding. Took about two weeks to get to me once ordered. Took a little while to clear customs. Check them out at
www.boydsgunstocks.com
Read the disclaimer about shipping to Canada.........
Cheers, again!!!

x2. If it's a shooter put a Bell and Carlson on and you basically have a "Vanguard Range Certified "model that cost you less than buying it in the first place.
