Smile First restricted purchase

So I have finally paid for my first restricted purchase,
A handgun from ellwood epps.
=D
I am extremely excited,
But now the waiting game begins.
It's been 5 days and the transfer is still pending,
I made sure to include my club membership info,
But one guy I spoke to said that Ontario is the slowest of all, and to not be suprised if it takes a couple weeks.

I'm getting a tokarev clone in 9mm,
Price was okay, and I've had good experiences with ellwood before.
Now I'm just hunting for 1 more mag for it, it comes with a few 9 rounders but I need to hold 40 for a competition I want to get in on.

Come on Ontario!
So damn excited!

Threads on other forums indicate that the Ontario CFO's wait times often exceed 3 weeks!

Stay tuned!

Actually, since it was from a retailer and you live in Alberta, it should have done already. According to the CFC, it goes to your home CFO, not the selling party's CFO. I'd be calling the 1-800 number to see if the transfer is already done.

Congrats on the new gun. I just paid for a restricted on Tuesday, called the CFO on Thursday morning and the transfer was already completed. I called the store in Quebec this morning and they shipped it already. Hopefully it gets here by next Friday.

Just look at the delay as a time to start a new purchase. You will find they are addictive.

Check every couple of days to see if it is finalized. That way you do not have to wait for them to mail the paperwork.

Norinco brand I'm guessing? I'm thinking about getting one to match the 3 surplus Tokarevs I've got Also considering a CZ75 clone.

Friend of mine just picked up a norinco 9mm, I think it's a sig clone, he is about ready to throw it in the garbage. Makes me glad Ive resisted the urge to get suckered into buying junk because of the low price.

I think Norinco is sort of hit and miss depending on the model. They used to have lousy metallurgy but currently their 1911 clones are well-regarded.

It's actually a zastava m70, paid 280, comes with 4 9 round magazines,
Got everything straightned out with the CFO and they faxed the approval to ellwood epps today, so it'll be can parred out soon!
Very excited, can't find a whole lot about this gun, but I figure if I am paying 180 for a tok and 30 bucks each for the extra magazines, I'm only spending 40 dollars more to shoot 9mm, which will be alot easier to acquire for me locally, and use at more ranges due to the variety of options in the calibre.

Plus since its a 9 rounder it's a bit longer so I have found one guy that says you can get 1911 grips to fit with bare modification so more options there too
