Thumbs up Sorry Just Bragging A Little

20190630_093459 (3).jpg

Sorry guys but I just had to brag a bit being the proud grandpa that I am, we just returned from the Czech Republic where our grandson was playing in the U16 world hockey championships for Team Canada West, they went through undefeated and beat team Canada east in the final to win the GOLD, honestly for a minute there when the clock ticked off I though my heart would explode with pride, what an emotional and unreal experience, maybe once in a life time, anyway thought I'd share it with my AO friends.
Take care and be safe all
Ed

Excellent news. Congrats to your grandson and the team. The young guy obviously inherited some of his grandpa's gumption genes.

Thanks guy's I would like to think that he got a little moxey from old gramps, but above all he is a very grounded and dedicated young man which is nice to see these days in a 16 year old, that's what really makes gramps smile

Sports assist parents in keeping young fellows grounded and setting goals in life. I suspect your support and the parents have a lot to with his successes as well My youngest grandson was a starter on the U19 Canadian football team that won the worlds in Mexico a couple years ago and you bet we were proud as well. He's now at Uof A and made all-Canadian last year so the Education end of things are looked after as well. You were certainly very fortunate to be there. Here's hoping more great things are in his future.

Thanks for sharing! Great picture, the pride truly shows. Congratulations! Some people think sports are trivial, but they do have a big part in teaching life lessons about hard work, practice, teamwork, etc etc. Definitely a big achievement!

Good for your G-son, congratulations,
I’m not too far away, drinking Cz beer on the Danube at Visgard.
Pretty cool castles here from 13-1400’s.
Boating back to Budapest as we speak.

Thumbs up Just Bragging A bit More

Just reviving an old post where I was bragging a bit about the gold metal that my grandson won with team Canada west at the world ball hockey championships in Chez Republic back in 2019.

Anyway I need to brag a bit more as I am so proud of him that words cannot express it, he has worked so hard and is so dedicated to his fitness, diet and skill training and it has paid off, he has just signed a LOI to join the Kindersley Klippers of the SJHL for the 2021-2022 season, only 250 km from papas house, I see lots of road trips on the horizon.
