With the beautiful weather that we are experiencing recently in God's country, I've wanted to go out and test some loads for a few guns. I look out the window, the trees aren't moving, no wind, perfect testing conditions for load development. I get the bench set up with front rest, rear bags, spotting scope, staple up targets.....so far so good. Then I bring out the gun. Yeah, the minute the gun shows up...... the wind kicks up. It swirls, west, south west, 10 mph, then 30 mph. I'm thinking that I have a coonection with the big Guy. Either he hates me or wants me to hone my skills. We gotta talk Dude, stop messing with me....

Perhaps. We do have a few gophers popping their heads out as of late. A minimal alter might be in the works.

I always have the opposite problem when out goose hunting. The wind will howl all nite, then quit about the time sunup occurs, then start up again about 10;00am.
