Default Fishing on and around bow lake

I am going fishing and camping near bow lake and would like to try some new spots. I have never tried bow lake and the river below it. Also I was wondering if anyone had some experience to share with me about Bow lake, bow river near the lake, cirque, waterfowl, Chephren and hector lakes. I will be taking my boys with me and a little bit of fish catching would help keep their interest. I certainly no stranger to going fishing and getting skunked, but with the kids it's good to have some success.
I have hiked into cirque and Chephren but what is it like getting to Hector lake?
Thank you in advance.

Default bow river access at bow lake

I think if you want to get to the Bow River outlet on Bow Lake you will have to do a lot of bushwacking. Best bet would be to use a boat or canoe to get to the outlet. I have often thought about going to the outlet, just to see the start of the Bow River, and have driven past Bow lake many times.
