I use it for .308 and am happy with it. All I added was a case length trimmer thing ($5) calipers ($30) lee 3 die set ($40) and a book ($25) to get started. now the reloading bug told me to start loading .270

I started with a Lee kit....and then upgraded alot of what was in there with RCBS stuff BUT I still use my Lee Press.

If you are going to continue this and get right into it....I would go with an RCBS kit right off the top......but the Lee will get you what you want.

If you have money to burn.....I would go with the RCBS Deluxe kit that has the Charge Master included....that kit even @ $700-800 is a pretty good deal considering the Chargemaster alone goes for $400 plus dollars.

Many people start off with LEE loading gear, but many of those people end up upgrading their gear later on. Personally, I started with an RCBS press, and over 30 years later, I am still using that same press.

it's great for a starter kit and you will make your money back a lot quicker than if you go spend over a grand on higher end stuff.

All depends on how much yer gonna reload? If yer just a recreational reloader/shooter(in the 100 to 300 rounds a year) go with the lee aniversary kit.If yer hard core shooting junkie (500+ rounds/yr) then you would be better served with a more skookum outfit.

I have the same set. Love it!! But definitely see the use in changing certain items over time!

I bought one and it does all I need it to do.

I reload 204, 243, 270, 7mm Mag, 7mm-08, 30-06 and no issues. Make sure you grab a factory crimp for each caliber.

The 243 reloads are awesome. Cloverleaf at 100 yards.

I have the Lee kit. I really like it. Here is a link to a review I dd of it a few months ago. http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/showt...ight=Reloading

Right now I am loading 270 Win reduced recoil loads for my son I love that I can build loads for him that I can't buy and slowly work him up to a good deer load by the time he will have a Tag in his pocket in a couple falls. Also loading 308 Win for myself. I really enjoy tweaking and playing trying to find the the best load for my rifle. I will be loading for 7 mm Rem Mag and 223 soon. I see loading 300-400 rounds a year and think my Lee kit is more then up to the task

Good luck, it's lots of fun and very addicting!
