Default polar bear rug

Looking for advice...

I just inherited a polar bear rug that my deceased grandpa purchased from the inuits when he was in the airforce (late 40's - early 50's). Since the rug is pushing 70 years of age, it is really showing its wear. I need a GOOD taxidermist to bring this boy back to life (and reattach its claws). I've never had anything done by a taxidermist before but I know there are alot of fellow hunters who have lots of experience with them. I live in central alberta and I don't want to have to ship it anywhere, but am willing to drive to calgary or edmonton.

I've been on the forum for a couple years and have heard all kinds of horror stories from others losing or just plane having their trophies stolen. I don't want to wait 5 years to have it done and I don't want to have to sell my kidney to get it done. Just looking for a reasonable, trustworthy taxidermist.

Bruin taxidermy in Calgary is who I've used and friends have used in the past. His Customer service is great and workmanship is even better! Wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

I am not going to recommend anyone, but let me say 1st, sorry for the passing of your grandfather, and 2nd, congrats on inheriting the Polar Bear rug. That is a very rare thing, and I hope you can get it looking good. I'm also wondering if you'll have any kind of problem with paperwork when you bring it to a taxi. Hopefully everything runs smooth. Send a pic when it's done.
