Default Trapline line damage

Was up the cabin this weekend and noticed a lot of damaged trees from the snow that fell a few weeks back. Most of the lines I travel have skinny poplars bend right over blocking the way. Will these trees eventually stand back up straight or should I start clearing now?

Even if they stand back up now come winter the snowfall will lay them back over...I would be cutting them

Goodluck, and sharpen your chain saw chain. You will be in good shape for this winter trapping season.

I use a brush axe or machete for the small stuff.

I recently bought an Echo brush cutter to clear some brush and small trees on an overgrown property. It will cut up to 3 inch trees with a circular blade and I found it cut up to around one inch trees with a tri-blade. I did not use the circular blade much but I did test it out. With a harness it's not tiring to use and there's no bending over.

It would be nice for brushing out trails I would think but I haven't used it for that purpose yet.

The best and easiest would be to take on a junior and put him to work. Lol.
