Had a quick look at this guy crossing a clearing at 10:30 with four does just as I arrived at my spot. Went for a walk and sat along the fence line for a bit. Had a 140" 4x4 come to within 25 yards around noon that I decided to pass on. 30 minutes later this guy reappeared and gave me an 80 yard broadside shot, he only went 30 yards and I heard him crash. Went down about 50 yards from where my big 5x5 did 15 years ago. Was using the Tikka .308, Nosler 165 gr Accubond.
