Default Hornady gmx, compressed loads?

Just picked up some hornady gmx 130gr for my 270 but have not loaded any yet. The bullets are really long. Hornady suggests normal load data for whatever powder you're using. I'm thinking The bullets are going to go well into the powder and compress the load. Anyone run into this or think there is anything to worry about?

There are alot of varibles in your OP, what rifle, what powder, where these bullets want to be seated in relation to the lands. If your rifle has a detachable magazine, you will be seating deep any ways. Depending on your powder choice you may /may not have compressed loads. Use sst data, or ask for the new #8 edition, hornady manual, someone will have it.

The GMX's are longer as it's not as dense as lead so to achieve the same weight they need more volume. From what i've read the SST data is exactly the same for thr GMX. Start low and work your way up.
